A recent success included working with the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites to supervise the Makkah Bus operator. As the authority responsible for the city’s public bus network, the Commission engaged Crescar, alongside another consultancy, to enhance the operational performance of its outsourced bus services. Crescar was tasked with elevating service delivery, optimising route planning, and strengthening oversight through data-driven decision-making and effective governance.

Throughout the 15-month engagement, Crescar applied a structured, insight-led methodology. Its transport planning experts refined and optimised network routes to improve coverage and efficiency, whilst enhancing reporting mechanisms and governance structures to ensure greater transparency and accountability. The introduction of network efficiencies improved service delivery and reduced operational complexity. Enhanced data collection and analysis also gave the client clearer visibility into performance trends, enabling more targeted improvements.
